Oran Park, located 60 km south-west of Sydney CBD, is part of the local government area of Camden Council and is in the Macarthur region.
Originally inhabited by the Muringong people, European settlers developed country estates there and a golf club and a racing circuit were part of later developments. Today, the area has been taken over by suburban development.
Development is in progress at Oran Park. The vision is to create a town that would be able to accommodate the projected surge in population and allow them to live a modern lifestyle with all the basic needs and comforts right at their fingertips.
