Eagle Vale, located 56 km south-west of the Sydney CBD, is part of the local government area of the city of Campbelltown and is in the Macarthur region.
Eagle Vale was founded in 1976 and the first housing lots were released in 1978, continuing on into the 1980s, with smaller blocks of land released in the 1990s.

Busabout buses provide regular services throughout the suburb and to and from neighbouring suburbs. While Eagle Vale has no train station of its own, you can take the train from Minto or Campbelltown, if you are traveling to the CBD. You can also drive to the city via the Hume Motorway and the M5.
