Busby, an established residential suburb, is located 37 km south-west of the Sydney CBD. It is part of the local government area of the city of Liverpool.
Through the 1960s and 1970s, the area underwent a development as part of the Green Valley public housing project.
This suburb mostly attracts families as it is near good schools, has several child care centres and is close to most conveniences. It is also well connected by public transport. And with a number of parks making up almost 7% of the suburb’s total area, there’s plenty of space for relaxing, picnics and leisure with the family.
There are three schools around Busby, namely James Busby High School, Busby West Public School and Busby Public School. For the little ones, there are child care centres in the suburb, including Busby Long Day Care Centre, All Smiles Preschool and Long Day Care and Rima’s Long Day Care Centre.
Aside from its local shops, residents can have an exciting shopping experience at shopping centres in nearby suburbs, such as Valley Plaza Shopping Centre in Green Valley and Miller Shopping Centre.
Busby is serviced by public buses operated by Metro-Link bus lines and Transport NSW. The nearest train station from Busby is in Liverpool.
